Ice Day
Well, class, it looks as though we will not get to see each other until next year. This weather system has sure given us some problems this week!

Why the sigh, Mr. Frost?
There is some controversy about the meaning of this poem. Some believe that Frost chose the grassy road, the one less traveled. Others think that Frost wished he had taken the grassy road, but actually took the other road and that is why he gave a sigh.
Read Frost's poem carefully. Then, respond to this post and tell me what you think Frost really meant. Use examples from the poem to support your opinion.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,
and I—I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Composting
Our class created a composting bin. You can put nuts, anything that grows on trees or plants,or things that grow on roots like carrots. Here is one of our classmates throwing away a piece of fruit.
