What are we studying?

Homework: Week of May 20th - Our Student Led Conferences will be May 22nd at 8:30 am. Please let me know if an adult cannot be here for your child so I can make sure to have another adult from our building available. We will decorate our BLUE shirts on Friday for Third Grade Field Games on Tuesday (last day of school). Look for ice cream permission slip in Tuesday folders.
Writing- We are busy choosing pieces for our showcase portfolios and reflecting on our growth in third grade.
Reading - Mrs. Forseth is giving us free time to do extended reading into one of the genres we have studied in depth this year.
MATH- We've mastered Third Grade content, so Mrs. Forseth is giving us a peek into what we will learn next year in fourth grade!

We met our Interim Principal today!

We met Ms. Barnard today. She seems very nice and told us that there are two things we should know about her. The first thing we should remember is that she wants us to follow the same rules. If there is a rule, she thinks everyone should follow it. The second thing she told us is that she is against bullying. She says there will be zero tolerance for bullying while she is at Centerfield. What do you think about these two things?

This week

We have done many things today.Today we skyped a man named Dr.Foster from KY mesonet.We learned in March and April the average wind speed is 9 MPH and in the summer it is 6-7 MPH. Louisville's average is 7.8 for the year. The higher you go, the stronger the wind. Today we learned about fractions.We have fraction homework.

Language Arts - Read Kid’s Choice News. Write the main idea for at least three articles on the newspaper itself. Make sure your name is on the newspaper .

Math – study any 3 facts for ice cream challenge.

Spelling – look for words with prefixes and suffixes. Can you list 10 that you haven’t listed before?

We have been doing a lot of things this week.Most of us have finished up our wind project researchWe are going to skype 2 people that know alot about wind in a few weeks.Today we did a test on what we knew about about geometry.We are learning about the Trail of Tears.
